Well another Interesting Week is over!!!

I know it's Tuesday and that is technically the middle of the week but Jeff , my hubby, is off on Tuesday and Wednesday so I consider this our weekend.
After a week of DRAMA!!!! Things are finally at rest.
Sydney had her 8th birthday party complete with handmade Polly Pocket decorations. She helped me make her party hat and banner. We had a blast.
I was even able to make a couple of new pieces for my shop.
And speaking of my shop, my clipbaords are flying off the shelves!! I have sold 5 clipboards today alone.
I guess folks are looking for teacher gifts... well that's why I first made them.
Jack's teacher will be getting one to start his Kindergarten career. I have NO PROBLEM buttering up the teachers. NO PROBLEM at all!! :)
Here are some of the new items I created for my shop.
Have a great " week"!!!!!

I was doing some photos of my new ETSY additions and I thought " I should use that fabu camera!!!"
So I called my brother and he baby-stepped me through some settings ( the word apature was used A LOT!!) ANNNDDDD... Cupcake Lane Bakery , and got some specialty cupcakes to show off my cupcake toppers.
The kids left fighting about who gets which cupcake when Mom finishes her shoot. ( I say Mom gets um... )

More Partyness!!! ( ...is that a word?)

I have yet another party set I created for my shop. I had a heck of a time doing the photos for this bad boy. I wish I had the kind of home decor that could a dressed a beautiful shot but , the reality is, I live with cranyon marks on the wall on legos on the floor.
Maybe someday when the kids are older I will live in the cilivized house of my dreams... maybe. Until then I will exsist in my messy happy world!!!
Hope you enjoy the new stuff.

IT's About Time!!!

So Today is the day I start my blog!!! I will begin by showing a few of the new things I am working on. Since our trip to London in June, I have been loving all things 1600-1800's . With that, I have made up some Marie Antoinette inspired pieces.

I have been making florets ( that's what I am calling them... Do they have a proper name?) like a madwoman!! I was making the florets out of simple patterned paper, then I tried it with vellum and WHAT A GREAT RESULT!!!! I really wanted to make some from crepe paper. I tried EVERYTHING... finally I just sewed the edge and gathered, just like one does for a skirt or sleeve.
It worked and that's what I used for the Marie Antoinette party hat!!!
Today is day one... let's see what happenes tomorrow.
